Transmissions- how common?

Knock on wood my spring is the original. Did replace clutch plates and springs due to upgrades. Barnett pads and plates along with springs. Really the only thing that needed replacing was the springs.

are these made in thailand? not that thats necessarily a bad thing. my 07 bonnevile was and it gave me no problems in the 18000 miles i put on it in 2 yrs.

A lot of 2014 and on have transmission issues. It appears that at the factory some engine transmission's the clips were installed backwards.

I thought the transmission problems were sorted out by the 2014 models. Am I wrong?

Yes several Rocket X owners have been screwed along with a few 2014 owners. I do not think that Triumph got it sorted out at the factory until 2016. Some clips went in correct others did not. For the most part the clips were installed correct but It would have really sucked to buy one that did not. Get up to around 50,000 miles with no problems your chances of avoiding this issue is good. 40,000 miles or less could be a issue. Even so it is just a small percent with this problem. Your not going to hear much from the guys with no problems. You know what i mean.

I run a 2014 Roadster with 12000 miles on it. I had confidence in it until I just read the post. I just hope I am gonna be lucky with it.
Thanks for the reply.
