I am picking up my Thunderbird bars today, and will probably put them on tonight. I will let you know, and will try to get a pic up here as soon as I can.

I got to ride to work today, and I love the bars. It makes me sit more straight up, and improves my riding position. I feel waaaayyy more comfortable in the turns. I really hated the stock bars for the R3T, I think I found my answer!
One thing though... It does put the mirrors in quite a bit, so it is taking some getting used to.
In case you are wondering, I took the Triumph badge off of the old smaller screen and put it on my fabricated one.

Being a big fella the reach should'nt really be a problem . being a small bloke , i have put the risers on and find with the longhaul seat and risers the stock bars are just about right for me except they are Waaay to wide , the reach id a big problem when i'm chucking a u turn or in real tight slow turns in carparks ect .

The thunderbird bars appel to me if there narrower , but question , will they be further away from me making the reach to far

Yes, you will be reaching. You might want to try R3 Classic or Standard bars. The pullback is longer on those.

I have a 09 tourer and did not like the bars and ended up with 12" Harley ape bars. The bike is much better through the corners and easier to do slow turns.

Did you need to change the cables with those HD Apes?
