Things I really like about my Rocket

when i get my new roadster, that is exactly what i intend to do...... swap the foot controls to the old set up.. should be able to do this easily i hope
Dealer said the mounting points for the rails were different. However, I'm pretty sure that I saw a 2009 or 2010 Roadster on ebay with the old foot controls. Raask makes an adjustable rail/footpeg kit but when I asked, tbey said it was for the older R3's.

The mounting points look the same but you'd better check or find someone who's done it. There's a threat under Roadster I think, where they're putting Classic rails on the Roadster. If Classic rails fit, so should standard rails.

From the posts I continue to see about "stealerships," I feel lucky to have such an honest and responsive Triumph dealer right down the road from my house.

Motorcycle Enthusiasts in Spring Hill, FL even does a good bit of HD servicing. The HD dealers around here have gotten so ridiculous with their prices that even the Hardley fan boys are getting tired of it.

What's the point of buying an R3R then putting floorboards on it? Why not buy an R3T and drop a map in? Got to be cheaper or is it that the R3R is a better bike LOL?

But R3Ts look like H-D bikes with the shape of the bags and mirrors and speedo on the tank. Roadster, Standard and Classic look like real Triumph motorcycles.

dont know if the r3r is a better bike, but i do know it is a far better LOOKING bike!! the brits who penned the touring, just didnt use much imagination at all. the r3r is dripping with sexy, and the touring COULD have been but nooooooooo!!:D:D:p:p

The rails have the same mounting points as standard and roadster. There is a mod needed to be made to the rear brake master cylinder bracket and the hydraulic brake line from the master cylinder. Nox273 did the mod to a roadster and posted it on the other site (.com).
If you want a new bike that is not a touring - this is pretty much your only option and a bonus you get ABS too.
If you do this mod - you will need to have the special tool to bleed the rear brake system as it is ABS.
