The Official Rocket Across America IV Thread

Anyone who was at RAA111 and is attending RAAIV please send me your name plus your site handle.
I have some small video clips and quite a few pictures from RAA111 and I will put them on a DVD (nothing to fancy) and bring them to RAAIV

Dave,

The fireman in me says this feels like a trap! But I'll be the first to say I was at III and I'll be at IV, Oh Brother!

See you in 8 days.

Lonnie

Update April 30th... Weather.com has
  • Friday May 8th Hi71 - Lo45: 60% chance of rain :(
  • Saturday May 9th Hi71 - Lo45: 60% chance of rain :(
  • Sunday - Pending updates
  • Monday - Pending updates
Don't forget a coat and raingear... 45 is going to be a little chilly if you're wet.

This is the extended 10day forecast from weather.com and they're usually wrong, but plan accordingly.

Ratboy please leave the weather predictions to Scowherd, his sounds a lot better than yours.:D
I'm afraid RatBoy's source analysis is reading like mine, with Saturday's 60% ending in the morning although at the highest elevations it may be damp all day and particularly to the north side; and breezy (upwards to 20) NW wind. I never rely on weather.com. A significant storm system will be brewing in the central plains Monday and reaching the Smokys and NE on Tuesday; with heavy rain encountered (360 hour source analysis, of my own). There's a 24 to 36 hour fudge factor to lay in when looking this far out and Scowherd could be right as rain:D

God Speed to All

My best wishes to all for a safe ride to and from RAAIV. Enjoy the shared friendship, knowledge, and camaraderie these gathering generate. You guys will have a good time. I am really sorry circumstances prevent me from attending this one, but there is always next year.
