Just be glad when I can get of the way xtra strong drugs as I tend to drift of to sleep half way thru a convestation or doing stuff and going to toilet is a real *****
I am very right hand dependent so while I was recovering from a severed tendon in my right. Adjusting to the left hand in the bathroom was the worst.
The good side was I confessed my friend I can't wash my left armpit or my B---S without my right hand. She didn't believe me but helped me anyway.

That's what they make garden hoses for ,just wait until its dark and it's a poor mans Bidet

Don't worry Hans when you get to Nyngan I am sure we will find an old shearer who will be able to crutch and dag you like they do to the sheep

Hans: So sorry to hear about your get-off. Break must be pretty clean to allow for a closed reduction - which means that healing should be pretty non-eventful. Need to be VERY vigilant about the possibility of infection in the road rash areas. I am off my bike as well right now, due to a ruptured finger tendon, which prevents me from gripping the bars and using the clutch. Here's looking forward to the day when you're back in the saddle.

Manitoba Canada, has public insurance. I had a massive tire blow out on back tire. The natural forces of nature made the bike go down grade which was the ditch.
A eye witness traveling in opposite direction saw me battling the handle bars back and forth and was just about to say" it looks like he'll be OK" when I struck a hidden pole in the deep grass.
Insurance said I was 50% at fault. When I wrote back to tell my story and say it wasnt my fault at all, they disagreed and now said I was 100% at fault. ps. The tire was 1 month old but had been damaged during instalation by tech. Dont be a nice guy and settle for less. Oh after the fire there was no tire left to prove my story

Speaking of pain meds and using the toilet...prunes are your friend. I hope you get some clarity on what caused the down, and heal.

I've been lucky with opiates and the toilet....things slow down, but they don't stop. I was taking them for three months when my back was broke. They did give me a muddled head though, was glad when I ran out!
