Suspension upgrade question

I had a chat with Gazi about their shocks today.
They are about to raise their pricing but not significantly.
The piggyback Hyper X with extended eyelet was recommended for hard riding through tight twisties based on the advantage of maintaining separation between gas and oil.
They also pointed out that the Sport X was easily suitable for most Rocket 3 applications.

They do a black body with black spring or chrome spring in both models.
I priced the Hyper X at $780.

Sales are based at Slacks Creek (Bris sth side) and the shocks are assembled locally at Mt Crosby.

Im thinking of trying Gazi who are locals to me as well. We make great stuff here in Oz. i am also thinking of the Maxton cartridges for the front and would also like to hear the impressions of those who have them.

Completely agree Pegasus, same scenario, 440s to top tier Wilber's and Wilber's springs up front.

Vastly better.

An extra inch or so of overall length of the rear shock units will considerably sharpen up steering ability and make wheelies easier and much more controllable , if you like that kind of thing ? :sneaky:

Ive had progressive 440's ,for about 60000klms then they blew a seal badly .Not happy ,i bought Hagon Nitros from a business in Oz. Bloody awesome, wouldnt go back. +1 on the Progressive Suspension for springs. Another big improvement was to run a 140/75 on the front instead of the 150.Big improvement in consistent tyre wear,no more weird shoulders being worn, producing **** handling at the near end of the tyre's life.
Hagons are the best. Ive had Fournales 30 year ago and were a frikin drama. 440's **** themselves on my bad road,so i heartily endorse the Hagon Notros with their adjustable dampening and rebound.Look cool too!

Fournales on the rear and Maxton cartridges on their way. E-Max rear and front to be decided today depending on what I can get. It's Spain in August - you roll with the tide.

I contacted Maxton today to request pricing and model etc. Which ones did you get and are they working out well?

I ordered the non-adjustable versions - as I have odd handlebars and no clearance for the adjusters.
As it is - they were supplied with rebound damping adjustment for free.

I recently reduced the airgap as initial recommendations from Maxton were amended - I took it down a bit further.
Maxton will ask for your weight etc. Plus your riding style. They are made to measure for YOU so be as accurate as possible.

Major improvement. You can take corners SUBSTANTIALLY faster and with better stability.

Another strong endorsement for BOTH ends not just rears. Whatever brand you buy, make sure they are sprung for your weight. You sound like a candidate for a little longer rear shock to gain some ground clearance.

I am in love with my Wilbers, depending on your budget, I highly recommend them.

That's great to hear since I have them (Wilbers) on the way. Then riding down to Georgia on the 23rd to Traxxion Performance to have them install their gas cartridges in the front forks. WooHoo! can't wait and a great excuse for another road trip.:sneaky:
