Starter Relay Location Question?

72 months? Bloody hell, when was that? I've never seen a 72 month warranty for a battery, ever & I'm 65. Maybe different countries had it though.
Firestone used to offer lifetime batteries. Think I was on my 5th one when my car was totaled. Even after they stopped offering them they honored original warranty. Don't think they realized how long some of us cheapskates kept a car.

Wow, that a coincidence, I used to work for Firestone at the tire factory in CHC NZ many many moons ago. Did a lot of different jobs there & finished up as a 2nd stage radial tire builder. I don't recall anything about battery warranties though.

Ok, actually, I believe it was the starter relay after all, the issue is I tried to start it so many times I killed the battery. At least I think so, but all is fine, including battery I thought was bad. Sequence was changed battery, no start, changed relay, no start, charged battery, started fine, multiple rides and starts, no issues.

Did you buy it at autozone?, will buy one, after reading your issue, i suspect the relay now

I"d like to offer a bit of advice to check the quality of squeeze in the female stakons that the relay plugs into....I do that by using a single stakon (male) and inserting that stakon down into each of the 4 or 5 openings....I have found a few female stakons too lose in the relay plug assembly, take relay mounting plug assembly apart and use pliers or some sort of crimper to re tighten the stakon----or replace bad stakons to ensure a tight connection.:cool:
