Clutch accuator replaced. This affected gas gauge, cruise control, hill assist. Manager feels confident it affects stalling for this reason: when malfunctioning, not enough gas is given to idle when slowing with clutch in. I think I sensed coming home motor a little louder in those situations. Makes sense.. Time will tell.
He agreed poor design that cleaning bike with rag can bend that metal piece. Be careful cleaning under clutch lever!
Will post after time riding for stall update.
Hopefully this fixes the stalling issue. Do you mind sharing the part number. I might change mine too if that turns out to be the fix.

it is the fix for a shorted clutch switch.
if u short your clutch switch or get the code for that u might have stalling

Lets see how it goes for Maurice as he had the same stalling issue as we have. I won’t mind giving that as shot. There is no other fix as of now as we know.

i knew this was going to happen as soon as he posted
if it is a good price it would not hurt to have a spare clutch switch. and a little prayer to the triumph god might not hurt.
please post price and pic when u get it.

Don't have one. Called clutch accuator. If you look under clutch lever, you see a thin metal tab close to lever. That tab is part of the whole part, with wires going into handlebar . Warranty item.
I think now after learning one of the functions is increasing gas at idle when clutch pulled in this is all of the problems with stalling.

This is my theory. My fiber rag pulled that part off the lever. This is why I got the code. It's position makes it almost impossible not to catch the tab with a cleaning rag, and most people with these new bikes probably like me want it clean. So the function has been compromised, but no code showing. If others pull the part away from the lever, just 2 prongs into 2 holes, bet you get the code. Erase code, but I bet it comes back cause not working properly. If metal tab is bent at all, won't function right.

There are screws under the tab. Mine are a little loose. Do you tighten them or don't touch them? Why would Triumph have a part exposed and so vulnerable to damage. It's flimsy as hell. It should be protected or encased.:mad:

Shouldn't be loose I'm thinking.
Will post pic in a few minutes to compare what that part should look like.
 
Look how close the thin metal tab is to the lever. So different from what the ruined one looked like.
Mighty, screws are not loose.
