if you have something like this then there is no need to use the cable as this reader will indeed connect to the telephone using bluetooth
 
Hermon. Before I head out with scanner in search of a stall, there is nothing I need to do to app other than connect to bike and ride? There is a "data" selection on app that I assume after ride will give info.

Is that not politically correct
And my green one it gets the job done and works for hours and makes my computer hum.

also i have a 2 foot extension added so i carry it in the saddle bag just got to b careful not to drag it down the road.

Maurice, I haven't done a data capture using TuneECU, but looking at the app, I think you'll need to go to the data page, then go to the menu to view the data types and enable the ones you want to capture. I believe there is a limitation to how many can be displayed at once. I'd suggest things like throttle position and whatever sensors look important to your issue. I also don't think it records automatically. It'll display the data in real-time while you're riding, but if you want to record it, I believe you need to go back to the menu and enable logging.
