Big 16 prong plug under seat must be removed, unplugged, from ecu. That plug goes into 16 prong obd2 scanner. Tuneecu is app on phone. You connect phone bluetooth to the app. Paired! Now app can connect to bike by selecting "connect" on app.
There is nothing to unplug, please do not unplug it from ecu. If you find the correct plug it will not be plugged to anything.
The plug get connected to the OBDII cable or to a obd Bluetooth reader. The OBDII cable goes into the telephone and TuneEcu is an app on the telephone that will read the data provided by the OBDII cable or the OBDII Bluetooth reader. When using the Bluetooth reader it must first be paired with the telephone before TuneEcu can use it.

I really think there is a misunderstanding with this statement. Again, when the plug is removed from it's storage location under the seat, you're not unplugging it from the ECU. That harness is permanently connected to the ECU on the other end, but the 16 prong OBD connector is not connected to anything when stored. It's just an open connection.
OK, so you are saying unplugging 16 prong connector from bike is not the ecu. My apologies. Don't know the names of parts here. Once I unplug, I am holding the 16 hole plug end, and put the 16 prong obd2 scanner into it. Is that more clear and correct?

Yes, that's correct. If you look closely where you're "unplugging" the 16 prong connector (yes, that's the bike's OBD2 port), you'll see there are no electrical contacts in the mating connector. It's simply a storage location to keep the cable secure and clean while it's not being used.

Good to know! I'll never use the term ecu again unless I know exactly where it is, and currently have no desire or use to know.
Now. Let us proceed. There is another post I need to read.

Getting closer I think since no ecu in this.
Do I understand correctly that I am needing a separate 16 hole cable that attaches to the, must be careful here with terms, the part of cable under the seat that is attached to the storage 16 prong,um, thingy? And the other end to the cell phone?
If so, what do I ask for looking for this cable?

Guys, this may be a very stupid thought, but when we still don't have a solution, one starts looking in "unlikely places".
As we know, turning the throttle forward on this bike disengages the Cruise control.
Is it possible that as one is coming to a stop, one is inadvertently pushing a little on the throttle (turning it forward, same way one would disengage the cruise control), and this in turn is causing the engine to stall? Would explain why sometimes when one is coming to a hard stop, maybe leaning on the throttle grip, bike stalls.
Unlikely but just a thought.

Mine is different than most with stalling as mine ocurred at the same time as a number of problems at once, cruise control being one of them.
1st instance of stalling followed a clutch switch safety malfunction causing engine light and error code, gas gage not working, cruise control not working. All simultaneously.
You kill throttle when reverse grip, BUT that does not kill all gas which would turn off engine. But maybe it is related to that feature since almost all stall of members happens when coming to stops. 🤔

plug in the green dongle (obdlink lx) to the bikes 16 pin obd II connector
with phone connect with (obdlink lx) via blue tooth (no cable) then ride.
