I am sure this has probably been asked and answered but I am confused.....

Why does my 2010 R3R keep stalling...just cuts out when in neutral at lights, Lose all power fuel gauge resets to 0 and takes me 30 secs or so to restart while I wait for it to decide to work. Not happy when the car behind you see's lights go green and you cant get the bike started. Nearly got rear-ended today.

Has this got to do with low ideal speed or is it the ignition issue, is it fixed by installing the light relay or do I have to go in to Triumph, grab them by their throat and ask them to help me?

If your fuel gauge is resetting to zero then very likely there is a very poor connection at the battery. In any case, that should be the first place you check.

Hey Ponters,
I know this is an old thread Mate, but did you get to the bottom of the stalling issue?
On 3 occasions and for no apparent reason, when changing down and a low speed, probably approaching walking pace, so maybe between 2nd and 1st gear, my motor just dies. No reason at all. A bit embarrassing, let alone the danger of getting my arse hole pushed out through my mouth.
Any Pointer Pointers? Ha Ha Ha ................ "Pointers Ponters".

Odd - mine stalled today at a "T" junction. The temp had risen above 25ºC after a cooler AM run. had this before with and without PCV. The stock ECU does "something" when ambient rises above or goes below 25ºC mid run. Dunno what - but it does.

Pretty common occurrence on new bikes regardless of year...goes away once they're run in and loosened up.

I hope for your sake that's all it is....
