Something Failed, let’s find it! Transmission Analysis.

Well here’s the most accurate I was able to get with the tools at hand, I do think it’s pretty close since I was able to duplicate the results. Stock values listed in BOLD (given by Triumph at 1mm lift):

Intake 514-BC4
Exhaust 514-BC7

Edit: Previously posted numbers were all wrong.

For all the world to see, as promised. I was considering going bigger cams, but I really don’t think there’s any point in going up by a mere 0.006” lift:(

Now I need to go back and measure them at 0.04” DOH!!

The spec sheet from Megacycle is done at 0.04”....

Tis a metric bike.
Wanna be dead nuts, 1mm is .03937" :D
Now what is the difference between English and American imperial measurements? Am I right in saying there is a slight difference ie. the American unit is smaller?? Therefore would that mean that the metric conversion factors to American inches is different to English?

If one measures at 1mm lift it is then comparable to almost every metric brand. The .053" is a hangover from the fifties and sixties flat tappet V8s

Nope -
25.4 X .03937 = 1mm

The English gave you their inches so they are the same no matter which side of the pond you reside
