some words of warning from Tail of the Dragon:

Once again I want to remind everyone to keep their speeds down on the 4-lanes in North Carolina. Saw a half dozen S2000s pulled over on NC 28 heading to the Dragon this morning. NCHP loves this section of 4-lane .... take it easy.

Saturday four sportbike riders were clocked at 120 near Robbinsville and made the mistake of running for it. They were all caught, arrested and may lose their bikes. If you are blue-lighted pull right over, act like an uninformed tourist and take your knocks.

We've been known to get in a bit of a hurry on the 4-lane section of NC 28 so keep this in mind.

A few years back myself Lonnie, Baggage1 and BillZ were easily doing 120plus on that section of road.

Yeah, I've never seen a 750cc go so fast as Ratboy's Lisa was moving along that stretch.

Don't be in such a hurry to reach the grave. Pick up truck took out 8 motorcyclists in Monroe County Tennessee last week, most or all were then riding ambulances and helicopters for the rest of the day.

Speed Kills. JM2CW and I come from the mountains.

It's awful humbling to have 750cc constantly in your side mirror. If you don't believe me... or pity me... Just wait, your time will come soon enough...

With all of the bikes around that weekend, I'm sure the local LEOs will be out in force... cracking down on the intoxicated as well as the speeders.

I don't think that I'll be screamin' down the Hellbender on this trip.

My pipes are on backorder (TORS), maybe if this stock sound were gone I could slow down. It seems like you are harley mov'n. Too quiet. I love my softail but just had to put that in there. If anyone needs a sober beer runner, just yell. They will never hear me comming.
