rocket classic.. can you drag the pegs?

Hans, you be no slouch yourself - especially on the WET DOWNHILL twisties!
I have found that before exceeding the flex in the pegs/boards, the engine case will also drag.

are you still running the smaller front tyre as I know that when I ran a Michelin Commander II on the front it did cause me to scrape a few times earlier than I expected

Don't know about you, _art, but I have Progressive up front and 444s rear.
I have dialed in the pre-load sag commensurate for my weight.
I get NO wallowing, regardless of the lateral Gs, while in the twisties.
Perhaps you should come to RAA XI and we shall go for a putt? :p
PS:
Unlike some friends on here that I know personally, you do not have the rights to ridicule my weight! :x3: :cautious:
I wasnt picking on you but if the shoe fits ?

Well ain't that just grand. I am a few pounds overweight myself but the nice thing about that is If I so desire a simple diet will fix that. For some poor folks to fix there flaws would take much more than a simple diet. MUCH MORE:eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek:

NOW dont get upset over a few extra pounds I have to watch what I eat Ilost 35 lbs and the point is if you are a big mo fo and you havent got different shocks and fork springs your gonna scrape in the turns and thats dangerous

I am running a 140 size.
The 130 is definitely too small.
The boards are dragging on the rear so I don't think the tire has made much difference.

I don't ground the pegs on purpose, there's just no need for it they way I ride. But, it happens...and curb feelers are replaceable at least.

Well.. what a load of replies... As it happens we had a long day out with LOADS of twisties up and down the mountains.. Ive removed the chicken strips from the rear tyre, and still not ground the pegs, must be because they are not standard and considerably smaller than the original.. feeling much more comfortable on it now though.. although with the shorter pegs I will now have to be more careful as I'm not gonna get a friendly reminder I'm on the edge..

I occasionally drag the boards on my tourer, but they are hinged and hane a replaceable scrape pad.

Rolling the throttle slightly more as you lean the bike helps the suspension lift. Pushing down on the inside floorboard or sliding your butt helps reduce lean angle.
