rocket classic.. can you drag the pegs?

Yeah, I can see how riding with Ken will result in that kind of outcome. His S3 is "mildly" upgraded and he may have a "little" seat time on it.

Here is the smut on @DEcosse:
A great, stand-up guy regarding all the 'lectrical help!
Even better to meet and ride with!

VERY pleased to report that mounting the standard boards and rails yielded a couple more inches of clearance.
No dragging . . . UNTIL I became used to them. One ride with Ken @DEcosse into Yosemite and I did this:
No more feeler . . .

and how much money does it cost to grind the bottoms off them babies ?
From the looks of it you will be putting the pegs back on before RAA, or better yet maybe Peg and controls up on top of highway bars will last for you :)

I got a little too comfortable grinding the floorboards on highway 1 one beautiful afternoon when I felt the rear tire lift off the ground. I don't think I've gotten back to that point yet. I probably shouldn't.

In Texas, we'd say "you Rodeo'd that thang"

My 07 Classic had floorboards and the first time I dragged them it really startled me. The floorboards have a drag point and the screech as it hits the pavement really lets you know.

Didn't cost me a cent as I won't be replacing those feelers.
However, I be slowing down some here . . .
My aged bod is requiring less and less need for pounding the twisties.
So, the boards shall last until I am done with this motor.

i have heard the sound and felt the boards pushing on my feet.
that is the rocket way of telling u to stop that $hit. that is the safety margin before the bike slides out from under u. i know i do not want to run past the margin on purpose:eek:

Scott if you start Riding like Steve @1olbull and I showed you you will to start to grind your boards/pegs, the boards that Steve put on are the same as I have and actually give Exactly the same clearance as the Standard's pegs which is considerably more than a Roadster I have also got Progressive Spring in front and 1 inch over stock height Hagon Nitros and While I don't scrape as much I still do occasionally while playing in "My Playground" AKA as the Clyde Mtn 10 minutes from home and other real twisty stuff like your Glorious Tail of the Dragon.
Steve play no heed to fArt:evil: as we All Know how imPerfect he is and I'm surprised he didn't mention (read advertise) how his Carpenterised :sick:bike never grinds a peg because of the engine mods blah blah blah
I have ridden with Steve and can atest to the fact he knows how to corner anybody that say they do not touch down occasionally are just slowing down too much before the corner and should probably sell the Rocket and buy a scooter:whitstling:

Clssic's and Touring have thier board a good 1 1/2 lower than the Standard's pegs or optional boards

Hans, you be no slouch yourself - especially on the WET DOWNHILL twisties!
I have found that before exceeding the flex in the pegs/boards, the engine case will also drag.
