Under EU law - service parts MUST remain available for 10 years. The reality is that some become VERY VERY scarce.
Then after about 10 years all sorts of after-market producers see the need. Anybody with an old (pre-'80's) Guzzi knows.
And Real Enfileds are a doddle to find parts for
I personally cannot see the problem with a Diesel Bike. Most 2L Turbo Diesels can push out 150bhp and with more torque. And geared for a bike - would be close to 70mpg-ish.

But where SPAM is a food staple? - <shudder>.All this does is reinforce my happiness that I ..... live in a place with super clean air and no emissions testing.
