I guess if A little buffeting and the wind in your face Is a problem, you could always just buy a car.........

lol. A little buffeting is not a problem. I just find if there is a lot of buffeting I prefer to ride without a windscreen. So it is just a choice of naked or not.

As for me, I've had two Harleys, one with a removable screen ('05 Road King Custom) and the other had the bat wing (Custom built on Kenny Boyce FXR frame.)
R3X has the short Triumph screen, mounted as high as I could get it.
I always wore a half helmet on the Harleys, but now have a Scorpion EXO 900 convertible. I've worn it in all configurations.
I also wear earplugs most of the time to lessen the wind noise. I have noticed the whistling with the helmet in full face configuration, but it doesn't bother me much.
I've lived in Colorado without helmet laws, but much prefer the comfort of wearing one vs. not. -And I've got scars on one of my half helmets to prove that they are worth wearing. :-/
I've ridden R3X without the windscreen (prior to install), and for me, it's not so much the wind protection as the bugs it catches and redirects.
The wife has both a bike without and one with and she is now a convert.
We live in bug country.

so I am the proud new owner of a rocket III roadster. I used to ride a R3T but have decided to see how the other half lives

I am interested in understanding what everyone does for wind protection. I tried ridding with the stock windshield and the clearview but actually prefer it without a windshield.

I was planning on the fleetliner fairing from corbin. does that work for people? Do you still get turbulence or updraft? Has anyone fitted an inner fairing for extra comforts?

I have a fly screen but I am more concerned with look over comfort.

I have the Corbin fairing, it works great. One thing I really appreciate on it, which I didn't know I needed until I got it, is hand protection in cold/wet weather.

I really dont feel any and i bet thats dependent on what helmet you use as well

It served me well for 12 months but now the goggles fog up as theres moisture between the lenses and the goggle straps have lost their elasticity , so i went and bought a Bell Rogue as im not doing as much riding now

I love the look of the rogue. The mask reminds me bane from batman lol

I just tried on the Bell Rogue
Is it just me or is this helmet a real pain in the arse to get to fit right?

The nose piece was either too tight or not latching in at all, and don't get me started on that magnetic clip thing on the side

They take a bit of getting used to and after owning mine for a month i only just realised you have to pinch the metal band on the mask the conform with your beak , i was forever fogging my glasses up until i worked that out !!!
