ramair cracked

I went for the straight mount using the OEM stacks on mine as I did not want to add any length between the filter and the throttle body.
It is still less distance between the filter and the throttle body than the OEM setup. ;)

Surgery and hurting bones are always fun in winter. Get well soon, and don't break anything again. :D

The uni's come in green and red, mostly. Single density, bit sort of agricultural the way they zip tie on, but they do let air in, the ramair is a neater setup. ....They do fit under the claw easily as they bend a little etc.Surely this is OLD news!! Folk have been using them for 10 years FFS.
I had pale green UNI's - The Laverda was a Montjuic. Bright Orange 500cc - basically a track bike which Richard Slater in the UK somehow obtained street homologation for. Loud in all ways possible.

barbagris, interestingly those "restrictive" filters socks from UNI-Filter actually make more power than the RAMAIR on my dyno. I find that flow testing filters is not the same as putting them on an engine. Relating to all the above posts, I note how folk are quick to hang shyte on the supplier within minutes, every one has a bad day or bad batch, whatever. I've had allsorts over the years. Surely how they respond to a problem is important? If they sent a new one out thats good. I had trouble with the RAMAIR coming off, with the first time I fitted one. Not since then, after I worked out how to do it, have fitted about 8 to 10 I think now. I tend to agree, they should have a rib inside the rubber to match the stock TB, although no K&N's etc have. I did send them a email to that effect. I have not ripped one yet, the rubbers seem quite good, so maybe gibbon had a dodgy one. Also interesting Scott/Warp, that you are putting another turn into the inlet tract with the above adaptor, but don't like them in the exhaust :). Hows the shoulder doing? Having the op soon? Happy New Year.

Neville, do you think it would improve performance to replace the OEM underseat filter with the UNI NU-3009 filter ?

here was my final look.

****, I didn't need to see that. Tried to find a Chrome oil tank for my bike and they're obsoleted everywhere... looks great, just as I feared. Side note, sorry. Sorry to hear about the health issues, hope it heals well.

dobro, yeah about 1 hp.......... unload the underseat thing if you want it to go.

Thanks, Neville. I have a stock engine, Jardines and a PC5. "Powerwise", which air filter mod would give the most bang for the buck (I'll be paying an independent mechanic to do the work)?

Ya I should have pulled it prior to letting the bike go when wrecked it.
