ramair cracked

Well guys spent the last 3 hrs trying to get the bike back together , short version Ramair thrown down the yard cracked the sh1ts . No matter what i did could not stop the rubbers popping off , so out of frustration decided to put the standard air box back in . Well after many ***s and ****z done but now the bike runs like **** and i have a check engine light on . I must have bumped something or pulled something , so i have left it now before i break something (red head temper ) i new i should have left it and gone and brought 3 k&n filters tomorrow oh well .
BUGGER, hope you get it sorted for the rest of the weekend

K&N's be my move mate. Get you back on the road ..and down to the Island. Hassle for a refund from Ramair after the races .. just my thoughts. Good luck with it and try not to let it get the better of you mate.

Well thanks for the support fella's , i got up early this morning with a clear head and lifted the tank re-checked all connections and hose's all good . But put the little black vacuum hose back into its clip lowered the tank and hit the starter and bang off she went so i guess i may have pinched off the vacuum hose or something but all fine . Did the 12min tune thing and then pluged in the tune ecu and deleted the error code . then quickly got dressed and went to the island bike ran fantastic and no more of that induction roar from the ramair which obviously got louder because of the massive tears in them . So i am just going to get a K&N for the std airbox and be happy with it from now on .

Glad you got back on the road at least! The induction roar is one reason I'd want the Ramair, to be honest, in addition to the performance upgrade potential. My bike is currently just a little bit too polite even for me, and I dislike really loud bikes.

After a week and a bit of emailing back and forth, photos and questions it all went quiet and I had no reply to my email for 72 hours. Last night I sent an email asking to be updated on where we were at. Just read the reply, your new filter was posted 2 days ago. So looks like I'm getting a replacement. Pretty sure it will do the same thing. What's the old saying about doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result. What it will do is free up my old Ramair to do some modifications with the original triumph rubbers.

Wow ! Triumph makes rubbers ? I guess once I rolled one on, you would only read "MPH" but that's still pretty cool :D
