ramair cracked

Ok guys I have come up with a fix , i will see how it goes for durability and flexibility . I have access to 50mm x 40mm rubber couplings which are used in the swimming pool industry , and by cutting one down and opening up the hole in the Ramair i have been able to glue it in with Loctite 435 glue . This glue is for rubbers etc and will give some flex to the join , but there may be a better glue or silastic out there . ramair repair.JPG rubber 5040.JPG ramair repair.JPG rubber 5040.JPG

Just had a quick look at mine from underneath the bear claw. It's still intact and secure over the throttle bodies thankfully!

If i were you i would remove the claw and have a good look , mine was torn around the back side of it so not visible from under the claw .

Glad I haven't fitted mine. Looks like a couple hundred dollars wasted:(
try fitting with the original Triumph throttle body clamps as some others have just need to use longer screws they have rounded edges and don't over tighten read this thread again there have been some very good tips like cleaning the rubber and not over tightening for starters

Looking at the picture, the way it's broken halfway down, has me suspecting the filter was only halfway on there in the first place. It does seem apparent that the filter needs the "lip" to make it stick better to the intakes so it doesn't have to rely entirely on the hose clamps.

Also, looking at the great installation video that was linked in another thread, the hose clamps are pretty much half the width of the plastic that has sheared in the case of @dave64 - I still have to wonder if better hose clamps would be better for the filter longevity.
