rake out front

So looking at this rake on this Boss Hoss if done to Rocket wouldn’t it ride the same as the boss Hoss witch I was fine with.
Would you use the same forks?
And just change neck?
Or would you need to change angle of neck and forks?
I guess I would need to find out what degree the Boss Hoss is and use there forks to get the same, and use the same 23”tire just that I’ll have a different rim in front then the back. Yes I agree if rake is too look it’s unstable

Scot in exile, have you riden the new redesign 2018 Boss Hoss? A totally new animal they have traction control even they redone there transmission they say it’s bullet proff that it can take you even playing hard in second.
i have riden a few different older models and surprising they where cool and fun to ride and handle surprising not bad for such a big bike, but a huge difference in the 2018 I would say go ride a 2018 and see how well it handles and perhaps your understand why I’m saying why can’t I have that look on my Rocket, why wouldn’t the Rocket handle just as good when there seemed to be close in size now? Like look at that picture of me sitting on that 2018 it’s not a huge bike anymore.
No not had the pleasure yet, and as the old version handled quite well I am really looking forward to test riding the new ones.

Triumph with there old rims fours give you any choice to put different rims on for different looks not sure why they did that:(

Couldn't use the same forks without lowering the front end - they would have to be longer to maintain ride height.

The angle of the neck would have to change to make the trail correct for the rake. I've never done it, but just imagining the triangles the neck would have to get tipped out some and raised up some. It might be able to be done with only tipping the neck, but I can't say for sure. Someone who has done it would have to say.

Yeah a little out either way could make it handle like crap.
I love my Rocket I think I just feel like a change and there’s no other cruiser out there would give me that same thrill or more but the Boss Hoss. The 2018 I really like , but in Ontario for what ever reason they only have up to 2007 in there computer system so won’t insure the newer ones.
And most wont even insure a Boss Hoss they say engine is too big.

The rake kits ive done were just that a kit. All the math was worked out by the manufacturer. The kit consists of a raked (optional angles) tripple tree and fork extentions and whatever front wheel your gonna use to get the bike at the correct rake and trail. There are tons of examples online to see the math required to get everything in the proper (new) geometry. I believe it can be done, but its gonna take some homework. You could call and talk with one of the rake manufacturers.

Yeah but if it has not been done for the Rocket and testeded then it could be a guessing game .
I know there’s a blue Rocket someone did but a huge long rake I’m sure would not handle good,
I have not seen one with a smaller rake too look cool as well handle good.Im surprise there’s so many smart guys here that are vary capable of doing this have not, I’m sure I’m not the only one thinking this

Well as some of us have decided to reduce the rake and trail - maybe not 100% by design - that may influence the "plot" a bit. Certainly is my case and I would be unhappy to go back to stock as I found it a bit lazy for my taste.

I found stock front Metzler alone made the bike tippy. Cobra improved it - and going down a bit in size has improved things still more - for my riding style. But I am used to a sportier chassis anyway.
