Trevor thank you so much mate and glad the videos could help you out.. That's exactly what I intended for them.
GOOD OL HECKENBERG.. I use to love the fish and chips from Heckenberg shops.

It's unfortunate about the clutch problems you are having mate.. I wonder if they just used clutch plates and not springs.. Does it slip from take off or when you try to power up to overtake..?

I purchased mine of ebay here's a link

Check out this item I found on eBay: http://pages.ebay.com/motors/link/?nav=item.view&id=310900770154

If you can let us know what year your bike was built and Serial number of engine which is under the exhaust headers. There seems to be a few changes in engines for some reason. And a few guys here might be able to point you in the right direction with parts. In regards to testing the bike, I haven't had the chance yet. Still completing valve checks and a few bits and pieces. But once I do I'll post it asap

Thanks Watcher, glad you liked it mate. .

Warp, I just talked to mate about his Rocket. It was actually an early built 2005 with a black engine.. So I guess you can say that Triumph are trying to keep things interesting..

There was a problem with porous castings, Triumph sorted it so a few early ones ended up with later casings or engines.
Not saying that is the case here but it is possible.
Good vids by the way.

where is the engine serial # located ? I have an 06 standard with black engine as well and knowing the # would allow me to make intelligent decisions when ordering parts, I already found many problems with triumph parts catalogue regarding my ride.I.E the rear wheel spacer for one!!

it is under the exhaust header rigght on the back sid eof th eengine where the header curls down to head the to cat box . before the O2 sensor. Most deallers will have you give the vin number of the bike though which is on the left hand frame tube or ingraved in the right hand side of the steering neck. It is usually on the insurance card and regisyration. they usually want the last 6 numbers.

cannot see anything from just looking at the engine as is , do I have to remove the exhaust? is it on the rear face of the motor or to the side close to the frame to engine bolt? when you write "under the exhaust header" do you mean below or behind because I cannot see anything remotely looking like a flat spot with numbers an d i used a BIG flashlight!!
