R3R - stalling issue?

My 2013 RIIIR (1,500 miles) has not stalled in a long time. It might be the higher mileage and/or the TOR's with TOR tune, which I got 400 miles ago.

I even tried to provoke stalling by downshifting extra slowly but it is not happening anymore.

a few people thought the gear box could be pretty tight being it's new. Probably just needed miles. Mine hasn't stalled either.

Just a note, I put a set of TORS on, and haven't had a stall since? Maybe it's the less back pressure? I do know I'm hitting my 6500 rev limit much more than before. Seems to get there quicker.

I have had the same thing happen about 3 times on my 1013 R3 (less than 200 miles). I just thought it was me getting used to the the bike. All bikes seem to have their little quirks.

So far I have noticed:
1 Stalling described above (popping the clutch kick starts it)
2 Serious "backing off" when downshifting and using the engine for breaking. (Sounds really cool)
3 Kick stand sometimes catches in pant cuff at stop light. (This kills the engine and makes you look stupid)
4 Clutch seems to engage a little abruptly moving up through the gears (Probably me getting the feel of the bike)
5 THE TORQUE!!!!

Good day all, I've been tracking this thread and wanted to let all know that I had this same issue yesterday on my first, longer ride on my 2014 R3R. It happened around the 110km mark on the odometer near the end of my 100 km ride.
Gearing down from 4th to 3rd, clutch in, throttle off, engine stalled. A others have mentioned a quick push on the starter I was back running. It happened twice, that's how I found this thread.

On another note, I did about 125km today and no problems, no stalling. Bike ran like a charm. I'll still mention it to my dealer when I take it in for my first service at 800km.

I love this bike!

Cheers

Dawg, On day two of my 2014 R3T, I had the engine cut off when down shifting as well. I took it back to Manassass Tirumph and they figured it was the TPS not set correctly. They ran the tune and fixed my issue, maybe yours is the same, just needs the TPS adjusted.

Dawg, mine did it twice in similar circumstances to yours. Both times within the first 1000k's. Did nothing about it and it's been fine ever since - now @ 16,000km

Thanks all, I'll be letting the dealer know this week just so it's on the book. Thanks Boog, I'll pass that along to the service manager, he's a pretty good fella.
So far the incident has not repeated, not any different than all the other posts. I'm just glad it's nothing serious. Season is just starting, would suck not to be able to get out of the starting gates.
Cheers
