Quick Release Sissy Bar for the Roadster

I am currently working on a QR sissy bar brackets that incorporates the triumph sissy bar and luggage rack. This was originally developed by NOX273 on this site.
The kit will incorporate 2-6mm steel brackets and 8 turned parts to mount to your standard/classic/roadster without having to change your fender covers.
The pressed sections will be mild steel (So will require coating in chrome or paint) and the turned sections will be in stainless steel.
The kit so far looks like it would be $135 + freight, but if we get more that 15 made (closer to 50) that price will come down to maybe $100 + freight.
I will not be making any money out of this:thumbsup:

Mittzy I have a question. I tried looking but didn't find the answer regarding which way the bracket attaches to the bolts. On the one I had previously there was an additional screw you could insert between the bracket and bolt to prevent it from slipping out or moving out of place?

Edit: looks like you loosen the bolt, slide the bracket in and then tighten again. Sound right?

Standard Triumph back rest/Sissy bar bots directly to the brackets we are making up using 4 x M8 bolts 30mm long.
Photo shows the back Rest/Sissy bar bolted to the new brackets.

Mittzy sorry I should of been a little more clearer (I'm on my PC now) What I meant was regarding the piece bolting onto the rails. You slide the front in, lower the back and then secure it somehow (That was what I was wondering) in my case, I had this extra little bolt to make sure nothing moves around on my quick release bracket on the Suzuki I had. I was trying to find out which method you were using to make sure the bracket is dead secure

This is the kit....
The machined posts replace the M8 & M10 bolts in your rear fender covers (4 bolts in total) and the bracket (Once fitted to your back rest) will locate the front posts first then drop down into the rear posts.
Once the bracket is in position the bolts can be tightened using an 8mm &6mm hex key/wrench, then this bracket wont be moving anywhere in a hurry. Yes you will have to carry two alen/hex keys/wrenches with you to remove and refit.
The machined posts sandwich the steel bracket.

Machined posts each have two parts.
