Pistol carrier

My most used carry pistol is a Les Baer Comanche (shown to the immediate left).

When I carry for the protection of myself and family; I generally use the best, not the cheapest.

If one winds up as "evidence" for a while; I have several other Colts, and a Wilson Combat.

Don't carry the W/C much, as it's a 9mm (my IDPA gun, actually).

I'm like Rick - I pack what I trust not what I consider disposable. I'd rather dispose of a $1200 pistol to an evidence locker than buried with a pistol I wasn't good with. That said - nothing wrong with "blocks", xd's, sigs, etc.

Buddy of mine went down with an XDs on his waist this past summer and stayed right in the holster and barely got scratched.

I'd not own something I didn't trust. My nightstand weapon is a Ruger GP100. Only other person in the household sleeps next to me so I'm not concerned with punching holes in walls. It will fire every time, is very accurate, and my 5'2" 100lb wife is at least as accurate with it as I am.

I'm a believer in the best tool for the job at hand. I love 1911s, but Glocks and revolvers have proven themselves to be stone reliable. Interestingly, I scored my best qualifying score when I did some volunteer work with Joe Arpaio and the MCSO years back with the **** Ruger.

The Glocks (19 and 26) live in our cars. They're not pretty, will eat anything, and if the vehicle is stolen, easily replaced. If my Sig or Kimber were stolen I'd go into mourning. I would like to add a P238 or P938 though. Not as flashy as the SAS but hey, you can't have too many Sigs.

I pack a wimeco plastic slingshot with hospital grade 7 inches rubber bands and a dozen stainless steel ball bearings #4 in a pouch on the tank bra problem is I need both hands to shoot which makes it difficult to shoot and ride any advice??

When I ride I use a Sneaky Pete to carry a Kahr CM9.

I just bought one one of these Sneaky Petes in nylon (I don't want the logo) for my Glock 26.
Should work better than my fanny pack and be smaller and less conspicuous.
We shall see. I also sometimes carry in my tank bag for easy reach while riding.
Generally have a .22 mag 5 shot derringer on board as well.

I find it interesting that many carry such expensive pieces of equipment. Should one be involved in a traffic accident, or much worse an encounter involving the use of deadly force (or the threat thereof), they would likely lose that firearm at least temporarily.

Personally I prefer to carry what I consider disposable weapons in my vehicles and when riding. Usually a Glock or an S&W 642. The Kimber and the Sig P220 SAS stay safe at home.

I was recently involved in a crash, in CA no less.
Had two on board. Showed ID and permit to the cops at scene.
Funny thing is after some good drugs at the scene I forgot all about about my .22 mag derringer in my britches. It was found after they were cut off at Stanford Hospital.
I got a big laugh at watching the guards panic and call in the real cops who were very cool. Gun was put in safekeeping in the basement guard office and I signed it out when I left. No problemo.

IF I need my roscoe, I want a goonun' with me. I also disagree that your Kimber is a keep at home and better than your throw away Glock.

I don't own any "disposables". Closest thing I own is a S&W 40 SVE. I hate it...has a nine inch trigger pull that's about as smooth as a dump truck on a gravel road, but the CFO loves it. What can I say? She gets what she wants
