2006 Rocket III Classic
Good day, folks! I've scoured the existing threads before posting. My friend, Ian, and I have identical bikes with some aftermarket variations. 2006 R3 Classic, maroon & cream, both painted by Mat at the factory. His bike has been down since last summer. I finally have it at my house to work on it where I can compare it side by side with mine.

His bike has the keyless ignition setup that I did for him, same as mine. The wireless relay clicks, but nothing else happens on the bike. He did have a problem with blowing 5A taillight fuses for a few weeks before it totally died. All of the fuses in the fusebox are good. I pulled and checked them all. The taillight one was blown again, so I replaced it. The three relays on the left and two on the right all click on my bench when I apply battery to them.

Power flows to the killswitch and back down to the wire harness under the tank. I've check every relay and connection I can see. I swapped the O2 sensor from my bike, as well as the ECU. My bike would turn on with his ECU in it, so I'm certain that's not the problem. I have not connected an OBDII reader to see if it registers anything. I was almost certain it was going to be the ECU.

Any ideas would be deeply appreciated. Bob, I think, was trying to help me through this last year, but obviously didn't fix it.

Ian also just told me (maybe not for the first time) that prior to all of this, the bike was revving up like crazy, so he had taken it to a Triumph dealer and they charged him for adjusting the throttle bodies. Any wiring around those which could kill the whole thing?

It might be a week or two before I can get it down there, but that would be awesome, Turbo! I'd be happy to be an extra set of hands to figure it out! I'll save your numbers and be in touch. My cell is 520-840-4205. Peter

Peter there is also another option we can do some over the phone with google meet but i can only do this at the shop because i do not have internet at home.
i will give it a try after lunch. the google meet will allow you/me to view like a camera so i can tell you what to check and see what's happening this has worked good in the past.
