It took a little bit longer than I thought but I am going to call it a wrap.
Things completed during unscheduled maintenance due to fuel tank contamination:
Replaced Fuel Filter, Fuel Pump, Fuel Pressure Regulator, Stainless Chore Boy type fuel filter baffle, plus all rubber parts in fuel tank and the gasket at the bottom of the tank.. While I was there I also replaced all of the bolts holding stuff together because why not and they are cheap.
Oil and Oil filter change.
Cam cover gasket because it had a small weep at one corner.
Spark Plugs
Installed Speed Bleeders and flushed and added new brake fluid
Replaced Radiator hoses with Samco Silicone hoses
Flushed coolant and refilled with Evans waterless coolant. I want to know who decided the best place to put the bleed screw was behind other stuff.
Installed the Mitzy overflow tank I have had laying around for a while. Took the OEM recovery bottle out of the OEM air filter box where I had it and now have a big hole to put stuff into.
Cleaned and oiled the Ramair filter, it still looks new after 8 years or so. It is still a pain to get mounted so I will probably switch to K&Ns next time.
Balanced throttle bodies
Replaced the battery with a Dexa AGM
Cleaned, waxed, tightened everything.
I still have a bit of life in the rear tire so I have a new one it just isn't time yet, I did find a supplier for 70% Moly for when I change it to lube the splines with.
A quick run to get gas and it has runs great.
So while it took longer than I expected it was worth the time and effort.
Other than the chore boy (fuel filter baffle) all of the parts were sourced from Adept Power Sports. They had everything in stock and other than needing 5 days or so to ship I have no complaints. The fuel filter baffle was the only hitch. Adept didn't have it, Hermy's didn't have it so I called my former dealer in Spokane. They didn't have it but looked it up and gave me a couple of leads to call. The dealer in Miami didn't have it but I found it in Mesa, AZ at Phoenix Triumph. The parts guy spent a while looking for it and found it and sent it my way, hats off to them for the extra work.
Just in time for fall/winter/spring riding season.
