Ear Phones That Fit Under Helmet

Plugphones 2.0 Liberate BT... I use the replaceable foam tips. I can get about 6-8 hours at a time before my ears start to get sore with those. Excellent battery life, and noise isolating when on.... best I've used in many years, and I've used most at some point. The single wire seems a little annoying at first, but you lose them a lot less often like that, and it gives you an inline volume option if you don't have that elsewhere. Price isn't bad either for what you get, and you can get packs of replacement tips rather cheap. (amazon link below to the set)

Remember, if its NOT taking down the DB to a reasonable level you are getting hearing damage at speed when if you do not hear it over the music. again see the pod cast. all of these hear buds and head phones and what not still have the problem is hearing damage from riding noises.

...the Plugfones are "ANSI-certified Noise Reduction Ratings (NRR) of 27 & 29 dB and is OSHA compliant when used to OSHA regulations.". Being an 'in ear' device they are wonderful for reducing noise, even without the active noise cancelling. With the noise cancelling they are borderline too-quiet on a bike. It's a shame they didn't have something like these when I started riding, I'd have better hearing now by a small margin.

There are a few companies that do it but there is one that you can scan your ear with your phone and they will make you custom flush fit ear protection headset with speakers in them.
Here is the best there is. You can also do a diy kit but this is better.

NOPE, any camera phone, the name is in the podcast description but i also linked it in post #10
He even says in the podcast that you can just take pictures of your ear and they will do the rest if necessary but might not be a perfect fit vs using the app

go to a music store and look for a set of In Ear Monitors, Sennheiser makes a nice set, multiple versions

I've had other Sennheiser ear phones and foolund all to be good stuff.
But do they fit under a helmet?
What I have seen on line looks doubtful.

I’m an audiophile, including music while driving or riding, but don’t use headphones for music on two wheels.

Consider a stereo for your bike. May have to turn it up a bit to hear through your helmet and be considerate to others, but they will survive

I use silicone in ear protection for wind noise and my cardo for music, radio, intercomm and gps voice. Your helmet must have speaker pockets. The ear plugs reduce noise by 15db, fit snug and comfortably in the ear and don't push against the speaker/helmet.

they fit flush to your ear, been using them for awhile, the bluetooth version also comes with a wire that you can plug into if the battery pack goes dead, there are a few versions in the IE line of products
