New Brake Recall!

Not sure why they pulled the rear wheel. I hope they didn't on mine- guess I'd better check the torque settings (I have trust issues .

Did they replace the battery fuse with a 10 amp and new sticker on fuse box to reflect that increased size?

I haven't checked on those things yet, but not a bad idea. I do however, have a lot of confidence in my dealer and mechanics.

My dealer called me as soon as the part came in and installed the same day. Rear wheel, seat tail bag came off to access. Brake bleed, battery on a tender and software. Great folks at Bell Cty Motorworks, Temple, TX.

Looks almost low.

I just got my recall letter. I love this bike but constantly having to bleed the rear brake is a PITA. My dealer said he had to get the part and would take 3 or 4 days. Looking forward to having a decent rear brake.

I asked my service and they confirmed that I am affected. They also wrote to me that they will replace the battery fuse. Currently is winter, so I will go there in the spring.

Got the new rear brake today. It's great not to be stepping on a sponge anymore. They also replaced the battery fuse which was also recalled.

You have to stay onto your local Stealers, sometimes.
I rang and confirmed that I was on the list, a month or so ago. Was told that there were no parts in Australia yet and that they would call me when they arrived.
A post on Facebook, yesterday of an owner getting a phone call, booking in and getting recal done the very next day. When I asked him where in the world he was getting this awesome service, I was stunned to find that it was my local dealer.
To say that I was upset at not getting my phone call, when the parts came in, is an understatement.
Straight on the blower and I'm booked in for next Wednesday with no apology for lack of customer service.
I didn't give them a hard time about it, though, as you should never piss off the cook.

I had the same with a well known dealer in Melbourne, as soon as I had the recall notice I booked in to have the master cylinder replaced, only to get a txt 2 days later to say there are no parts available, booking cancelled. So I sent a grumpy email to Triumph Australia who replied and said they have lots in stock and to contact the dealer...so I contact the dealer again, only to be told no stock AGAIN...this time armed with my message from Triumph Australia I argued that Triumph Australia state they have lots of stock!! was finally booked in 3 days later! its now replaced, fingers crossed this is the last time...(this was the forth visit for this issue since new)

Well it only took Triumph 3.5 years to admit they had a problem and to attempt to rectify it. I guess for them that's light speed.
PS (The Chiefs lost again today so I'm not happy at this time)

It makes me wonder if someone died over the course to issue a worldwide recall. Yeah, that could get expensive with all the documented failures.
