Maximum speed per gear before hitting rev limiter?

Hahahahahaha!!! That was hilarious!!! Most of my buddies and most of my family ride Harleys. One of my buddies told me that my R3T sounded like a Hoover vacuum sweeper when I first got it. After I smoked him on the first interstate on-ramp, I told him I was going to get a "HARLEY SUCKER" decal for the front windshield so he would know what to expect when he saw me coming in his mirror!! Screaming Eagle....screaming for me to slow down so he can catch back up!!

Ask him if he knows the difference between a Harley and a Hoover vacuum cleaner?

On the Hoover the dirt bag is on the bottom.:D

Hit 77 mph in second before running out of space because of on-ramp traffic this morning. Stinking chevy cobalt ruined the party!

The standard red line on the standard is 6300. I've hit 85 mph (corrected speedo) in second.

Triumph lists 5800 as the redline for a stock R3T. I went 77 mph (I think speedo reads high) this morning in second gear and didnt hit rev limiter but probably getting close.....

Rev Limiter kicks in at 85 in 2nd on an R3T with a raised limit of 6500 and a stock calibrated spedo. I'll have to try it in 3rd to see what that speed is. 4th and 5th will be "Speed Limiter" limited. (128mph indicated on a TuneBoy modified bike)

Thanks!! That is very helpful....let me know how 3rd gear works out! :)

Hit 110 in 3rd gear last Friday night, but had to back off because the GF started getting antsy. Limiter hadn't kick it and was pulling like a freight train.

Will try again soon without GF.

P.S. Cycle World test a new V-Max against the Rocket III Roadster in this months issue.
