Maximum speed per gear before hitting rev limiter?

Harleys should not even enter your mind. I waxed my buddy on his $38K "Screamin Eagle" Ultra Glide so good he'll bead rain for the next 10 years. Bwhahahahahaha

"Eagle"... Pfff, more like Buzzard...

Hahahahahaha!!! That was hilarious!!! Most of my buddies and most of my family ride Harleys. One of my buddies told me that my R3T sounded like a Hoover vacuum sweeper when I first got it. After I smoked him on the first interstate on-ramp, I told him I was going to get a "HARLEY SUCKER" decal for the front windshield so he would know what to expect when he saw me coming in his mirror!! Screaming Eagle....screaming for me to slow down so he can catch back up!!

The GiPro is one of the few performance add-ons that doesn't require fuel management equipment and/or retuning. It will give you that extra power you've noticed in 4th-5th down where it counts in 1st-3rd. Installing one of those and pulling the secondary throttle plates out is the cheapest performance mod with the biggest bang IMO.

Do you have to pull the secondary throttle plates when you install the gipro?

Taking back throttle control from the ECM allows for quicker throttle response, wide open when YOU want it ... not when the computer allows for it. The GiPro allows the ignition timing to advance and removing throttle plates allows fhe engine full air flow. Later down the road when you decide you want even MORE power, all you need is a PCIII, exhaust and triple filters for the thrill of a new Rocket bike.

You don't have to pull the plates ... but it's FREE! lol;)

Aw man it's the easiest thing you will ever do to the bike.
Remove the bear claw, raise the tank, pull the air plenum off the throttlebodies far enough to gain access to the top plates and remove two screws on each plate. They come right out. The bottom plates stay closed so you stand little chance of loosing the screws as long as you don't operate the throttle or push them open while retrieving one. As long as you are carefull removing the plate screws you shouldn't even drop one in the first place. The plates are located right at the top of the throttle body opening.
If you've had the tank up before, that's the hardest part. No worries :D

Well, that gives me a couple things to consider. Thanks for the info. If anyone happens to get their bike on a dyno, find something on the internet or just tests it out for themselves on the street, I am still interested in finding out what the maximum speed per gear is before hitting the rev limiter.

The standard red line on the standard is 6300. I've hit 85 mph (corrected speedo) in second.
