Usually there is a big ride on Saturday with as many bikes as possible. Earlier in the week( we are getting there Wed.) other rides just kinda spring up on their own.

IE if we were talking during breakfast and you asked what's the grand plan ? I would say that I was heading for the Dragon and Skyway before the weekend traffic. Someone else might say clingmans dome. The next might say the BRP to mount Mitchell . Then just fall in with whichever sounds good to you.

Of course the situation is usually in a state of flux and liable to get all fluxed up occasionally

Maggie Valley is known as a great location for motorcycle rides.
Does anyone want to talk about their experiences where they have ridden there in the past, where they plan to ride this year? Ride by themselves? Lead /join small or large group?

The event is much more than riding roads as is evidenced by the ridiculous postings seen here. There will however be much discussion about the day rides. There are several members that are relatively local and know the best roads.

OK: I am, but in my defence I claim addiction to food and drink., your honour!.

It doesn't rain when I ride. At one RAA I was close to the front of the pack and @rainman was at the other end. I did the whole ride without rain, but he didn't. I have often wondered what would happen if we rode next to each other.
