MaggieValley, the aftermath,,,,,,,

Things I learned on this trip.
1. The Blue Ridge Parkway is the absolute slowest way to get anywhere.
2 Don’t get on the wrong side of sweettennbabe!
Last time I rode the BRP I figured that the 30mph speed limit was for 4 wheeled vehicles, and as I was driving a 2 wheeled vehicle I could double that, and add 10mph for fun. Was I not correct?

Dang, tire looked like almost brand new when I left home, I hate riding interstates and wearing out the center, we were looking at chicken strips after the dragon, everyone was within 1/4-1/2 inch of the edge, too, and it still looked ok. But a weekend in the mountains isn't enough to offset 1600 miles of interstates on top of living in the flatlands.
Glad I looked over the bike today, I was going to go for a ride.

The advantages of less power. This bike is heavier than a R3 and most of the miles are 2-up plus luggage, so it's not the weight that does them in. Almost 12,000 miles on this rear tire & still going.
