I like having good lights (within reason) because sometimes I find myself out after dark. I've been running Piaa high output halogens in E-code buckets for years. They are $90 for two bulbs. I get 3 or 4 seasons out of a set. We got home at dusk last night and I discovered both my low beams were out. I threw in a set of Sylvania's I had for now. I thought I'd look into LEDS. JD Speaker seems to be kind, but at $500 a bulb they better be able to give me a reach around while I'm riding. A couple people suggested Eagle lights. They are high output LEDS but not adaptives. What I like is they have a lifetime warranty. That may be the way I go.
Let me know what you do and how you like it. My Roadster could use a refresh.

Hey Rocket Scientist, I have a set of JW Speaker Adaptive 1. Used 3 seasons. If you want to try led's I'll sell them to you for $200 Shipped. Even if you don't ride at night others can see you better during the day. I love them. They are the best headlights I've ever had and they are made in the USA, not China. Anyway think about it.

For what it's worth I just replaced the stock bulb in 2017 with an H4 COB LED Bulb.

It's plenty bright for daytime riding. That being said, I only ride about 1-2 thousand miles a year. Never get enough miles to change the oil based on milage.

That's a very generous offer, I appreciate it. I'm not ready to pull the trigger yet. I'm sure someone will take them off your hands. 😀

You would lose that bet, I'm an atgatt guy. I don't ride at night. If I do have to I sure as hell don't play boy racer. I've been running Piaa super high output halogens. I've ridden with people with LEDS and didn't see a huge improvement. They are about $90 a pair, and I get about four seasons out of a set. I just wanted some feedback on what people thought of "not the best money can buy LED lights".
Fred
If you now have your PIAA bring Them and let's test - compare. Then we'll know!

The low beams burned out on both of them. That's what started this thread. Do I pay $90 for two Piaa's (which work very well) or go with LED. Speakers are out, too rich for this Scotsman. I kinda like the Eagle lights due to the lifetime warranty. I had high power LEDS in my Challenger that were lifetime warranty. Good thing as I went through 7 sets of them until they said "well we don't make that model anymore". That fellow that offered the JW gen 1's for $200 is a great deal until one of them burns out and it's $500 to replace it. I may buy another set Piaa's.

If Rocket Scientist doesn't buy them, I would be interested if they will fit my 05 Rocket III .
