I cant be responsible for breaking testing equipment if mine is tested. My lux is probably around 200 or something like that, lights the light out to about 3 miles

I almost never ride at night. A set of JW's cost more than my bikes worth

When I changed to LED there was a noticeable lower amount of cars who cut you off in the traffic, especially in day time so maybe it's still worth the money for day time riders.

a little story on my lights
i forgot to turn my headlights off they stayed on for a few hours after that they only worked on one setting a long time ago so i can not remember if it was high or low.
any way it had burned the ground up inside the buckets .
so it might be worth while to check those lights.

If you are referring to my lights, I took them out and tested them with my old 19 year old R3 battery. Low filament gone on both.

I went with Eagle Lights. JW Speaker is just stupid money. Eagle lights were $224 for the pair, direct install, no modifications, plug and play.

@Kojack1970 when you installed the Eagles what did you do with the smaller stock bulb? Did you remove it?

I would cut the small lights off and tape up the wires. If you just take the bulbs out of them, the contacts inside the plug can touch together and create a short.
