Well, they look good, anxious to see how they perform. Thanks for the tip.

LADIES, GENTLEMEN - and motorcyclists. A word of caution.

Spain is HOT and SUNNY. Generally. Most Polycarbonate lenses (be they on cars, bikes or commercial vehicles) here WILL deteriorate if the vehicle is left exposed to the rigors of the natural world 24*7. Does not matter what make or model. It's actually usually the UV & anti-scratch coating that degrades to a flaky yellowy mess. For a whole series of reasons - many vehicles here live outside 24*7.

The very first 5&3/4" J/W Speakers (early Daymakers) have Glass lenses - They were really designed for heavy duty off road construction vehicles. Since then pretty much everything I have seen has polycarbonate lenses. Lighter and less prone to stone chipping. But be aware that if your pride and joy sleeps outside in hot sunny places with no shade - polycarbonate is living on borrowed time. I did see a company in the US making LED lights for Harleys - who especially stated GLASS LENSES - but cannot find them now (I have no Googlefoo - DuckDuckgofoo is different).

All my LED headlights have Polycarbonate lenses - but the bikes sleep indoors. You can refinish the lenses with care if they go but it's work. But it is strongly suggested you clean the lenses with CARE - lots of water-no scrubbing and also apply a good wax polish after.

Just a thought.

LED are defiantly the go especially when on low beem.i also put the 300mm greatwhite light bar with the 120 led spots and I tell ya night is day.

If anyone has not upgraded to LED headlights from stock do it now. I just slapped a pair of these on my 2014 roadster for $95. Huge improvement over stock and takes 10 mins to fit.

Left is stock right is new LED (obviously).

Did the same set - much, much more better!! - My old eyes need all the help they can get

What I have done is adjust mine 1° below level and 1.5° right with the high beams.
Has worked well for me for a couple years with limited oncoming flashes. I do dip on dark country roads.
Word from my light guru, one of the foremost authorities in the US, is "Drive with your high beams until you can't."
Can not impress enough the advantage of high beams. Like 95% of ped and animal impacts occur with only low beams turned on!
High beams on always....So far no one has flashed me to lower them - drivers need to see you!

I bought a pair on Aliexpress 34 euro a piece. I can't compare...never drove with origanal light. Had to adjust/remove little part of cooling-ribs however to make it fit perfectly. Had to remove/take out the Original fitting/centringring as wel. Can't complain....a lot of white light! IMG_6235.JPG

You might want one of these LED light bars

A place online has OSRAM 12INCH 5D LENS LED LIGHT BAR cheap for AUD$22.17 with free postage. They had them on sale recently for AUD$19.95 so I snapped. Could go alright with the headlight LEDs but I am a bit concerned about 168w extra on top of the 100w in LED headlights even if wired directly to battery with relay etc in supplied relayed and fused wiring harness.

Would that be too much drain on the battery? I had a look at another one that draws only 36 watts. It was four times the price though....
