Is the Rocket III for me? Hi from Canada!

Below is the post from the .com. site...... Is this the same OP that was here?
Just trying to get my head around why his panties got twisted!!!

Hello Everyone! I am from Canada, and I am quite interested in the 2013 Rocket III Roadster.

A little bit about myself, I love big cruisers and I've had a few interesting bikes in the past (1982 CB900F, 2005 Suzuki M50, 2005 Yamaha MT-01) and I'm currently riding a 2008 Suzuki Boulevard M109R which has about 30K on it and is still running like a champ! But I've owned it for 5 years and I'm just looking for something different...

I've never owned or know anyone who has owned a triumph, I know nothing about the brand.. but I hope you guys can answer some questions for me. I like the Roadster version of the Rocket, and I also like doing a few modification that would make it more interesting... I came across these pictures online and this is what I "wish" my Rocket III would look like if I had one. Can someone tell me more about the bike in the pictures below? The things in particular that I notice and like are the LED indicators, the small mirrors, the nice little windscreen on the front, and especially the fairing under the radiator. I also like the look of the 2013's exhaust pipe mega phones... to me, the bigger the better. Is there anyway to make them louder? Who makes after market exhaust pipes for the rocket? (I'm a fan of Vance and Hines but they dont do Triumph)

Can someone tell me how much money we're looking at to get these modifications and where you guys usually go to shop for these parts?

Other things I'm interested in are how the difficulty is to do regular maintenance on the Rocket III (On my suzuki's its very easy to do oil changes and other maintenance) just wondering if the Rocket is more of a "You need to be a tech" to deal with or if its all easy to get to and work on.

Some other modifications I would consider is changing the headlight bulbs to something brighter, adding a 12V plug for GPS/Phone and hopefully a removable backrest (quick release) with luggage rack.

When you get your Rockets, what are the first few "MUST HAVE" Mods that you do for your bike? For example, on my suzuki usually the first thing we do is tell new comers to add in a TRE to help improve low speed performance and adding in an air horn and fun things like that..

Thanks for your responses!

I think the biggest problem was that he jumped on and started asking asinine questions without doing any research on his own. Just about every question he asked has been debated on here ad nauseum. Then he got pissed when we flung a little $hit at him for it. It's happened before...will probably happen again.

As said above somewhere though, this is a bikers forum, you should expect a little crap really, it would be wrong without any....

I've never see this forum as abrasive though, not like I have experienced on the .com site anyway, that place is a real learning experience for sure, the old timers over there don't hold back the punches :)

The difference in the post he made here and the post Tony reproduced above is that when he posted here he was asking basically if the Rocket was for him and would he like it based on what he had ridden before and the like. The questions he posted above (on the .com site) were all directed to a particular part of the ownership experience, looking to acquire information so he could decide for himself. It's a world of difference.

Frankly, judging from the two posts, I think we taught him something about using these forums and what to expect.

I think me finger was doing a bit of stuttering

Not sure I get ya?

If it's a book about how to understand Americans I still don't get em...you Aussies are much more understandable, sometimes :)

I think he is referring to the last guy that got flamed on here. Jumped in with a bunch of dumbass questions right off the bat and then started trying to market a book on the forum.
