Living Legend
I am 58 years old six foot at 245 pounds. Some fat and some not. Kind of a tough cookie. The day I bought the Rocket X down in Texas I spent four hours riding it around the shop I purchased it at. In retrospect when I bought the Harley fatboy we jumped right on out on the highway and headed home. The Rocket when sat on for the first time earns your respect, if it fails to then your a fool. Even after riding the bike home from Dallas (a bit over 250 miles) I still had a lot of respect and awe for the bike. Took my time and got to know the bike real well before any hot rodding. The biggest plus was going down to the local walmart after hours and practicing turns and braking in the parking lot. The local police department got so use to seeing me in the parking lot that they would just drive by and wave. Even had my wife take some small cones down so I could practice moving the bike around in different conditions and speed. Yes even in the rain which has saved my ass more than once in real life situations. Do i regret buying such a large bike? Nope it is by far the best bike I have ever owned. Do I respect it ? Yes even after 24,000 miles since Oct 20 2015.
