I said I would never do it, but...........

WHAT the hell where would you use a throttle lock Phil ?

YES worthless and dangerous

I had a BrakeAway throttle lock that was mounted on one of my old VTX 1800s when I purchased the bike. Tried it two or three times and determined very quickly that it was a worthless and, yes, very dangerous, $180 POS and never, ever used it again.

The clip-on Throttle Rocker/Crampbuster is OK for folks with nerve or muscle problems in their right hands or as a cheap and easy way to rest your left hand, but I'm a big believer of always having your hands on or at the grips/controls and at the ready 100% of the time, so I wouldn't bother with them either.

Yeah, i had one a those, got rid of it, there is at least one wreck that i know caused by them, almost as dangerous as a car tire,,

Tell them about Watcher and the throttle lock . . .

I occasionally use my Go-Cruise 2 for a brief stretch, to relax my shoulder and to scratch my balls. Does not hold speed for long anyway.

ONLY FYI - no opinion offered.
Since this is a darkside thread and I'm here anyway, I thought I'd post this case that just ran across my desk.
NOT meant to inflame - but this is the first professional related email I have received regarding a CT on a MC crash case.

"I have a client attorney needing an expert regarding a large touring bike equipped with an after-market passenger vehicle type tire. Apparently, between 60-65 mph, on a relatively flat curved portion of a roadway, the rear end of the m/c began to vigorously wobble and as the operator slowed, the wobble became stronger……m/c then either washed out or was laid down by the operator.
Client is looking for a motorcycle expert with experience with that can address the tire change.
Please respond directly to me and I will forward your information to the attorney."
