Not every motorcycle I have had has been fun, interesting yes but some have been a PITA, I was sort of given a 500cc Suzuki Titan Two stroke twin years ago as part payment for a debt and thought it would make a good ride to work hack bike, it broke down, oiled up plugs and blew head gaskets regularly (luckily a ten minute job to replace) when it broke down one morning on the way to work I left it there all day and some fool stole it and it was not insured (or registered) so I didn't report it to the Police, a mate of mine spotted it a few days later laying on its side in the grass near Taree it must have fell of a truck because I doubt if the thief could have got it going and rode it that far I left it there. now they are becoming collectable

Thats funny as I watched a new Indian getting abused at the drags and it was running high 13 second 1/4 mile times and was beaten by every HD that it raced ??? I was not impressed just another big slow Vtwin SLUG YUCK

Motorcycle ET is affected by the rider a lot. Not saying that the Indian is faster, just saying that the rider may have been clueless. Best way to compare is to have the same rider ride each back to back.

Curious what cruiser you reckon is better in the twisties???

My Valkyrie (99) was much better than this bike. If in the mountains this bike is great going up, pulling away from most, for me it is a handfull going down because of the gearing.

Never ridden a bike I didn't enjoy riding in some way. Even a little old Sachs 125 was fun. What about that falling to bits chook chaser you find in a shed on a farm? All good in their place. I'm excluding underpowered, automatic scooters here but I rode a 650 once and that thing flew and handled surprisingly well. (Of course I went inside before I took my helmet off.......). The riding enjoyment comes from straddling a machine and feeling the wind. It doesn't need to be fast nor even corner that well and looks mean nothing. Ownership on the other hand has a completely different set of criteria.

I like a bike that accelerates like a bat out of hell, has a top speed at least double that of any speed limit in the country, and you can ride all day long. That's why I bought my Enfield.

I have to agree. I had a 98 Valkyrie as well, and I think it was really better in the twisties. Lean angle was probably slightly better, and it was nimble and stable for such a heavy cow. Engine power was far less than the Rocket, though.
But it might be just the fading memory of an old man...

What was the question? Oh yeah, I had a Valkyrie too, long time ago. It was good in the twisties... er ... nimble ... er ...
