Has anyone rode one of these?

Far from ugly, I think it's gorgeous - and that sound it makes!!!!

Looks kinda like a Triumph Sprint on Horse Steroids ....................

Incidentally the dealer pics with the prices show no hard bags - can only imagine what they are as an 'option'

.... They may or may nor have great power but probably not more than a Rocket unless they have the cu inches. ...

They have significantly more "power" than a Rocket - 165 for the std motor and 180 for the 'R' (Roadster is 148)
The Rocket of course dominates in torque 163 vs 123/126 with its huge displacement (2300 vs 1650)
But fully loaded with the hard bags and full tank of gas it is 565 - 'dry' weight of a Roadster is 736 (add fluids & you are over 800)

So they have more power but less torque. The playing field can instantly be switched around by taking a new roadster 15000 dollars and sending it to Carpenter, about 9000 dollars and leaving with 270 Hp and an easy ten thousand or more extra dollars in your pocket. It is a beautiful bike but it hard for anything to beat a brand new Carpenter Rocket roadster at 275 HP and under 25000 dollars.

Holy Shiznit!!!!! I think it would be a really cool bike to have but now knowing the price........ Fug it!

I am 6,4 foot and tried the Chieftain.
Not only me knees reach almost to my Face but if you droove a Rocket for some Time there is no other Bike coming even close.
You can go for the Classic, Roadstar or the R3Touring and put als things on it as they did with the Roadmaster.
I did a little tuning to get 150HP. If you start in second Gear, if your are to lazy for Gearing: no problem it goes and it will keep going.
Don't forget what you have to pay for Roadmaster.....
I bought my Rocket in 2008 and she is still like new, build to last forevr.
Good Luck with choosing. I do not have to choose anymore.....
