Has anyone rode one of these?

Goodun!
BUT I have held season tickets for way more than two years and have been a fan since 1976.
Disagree all you want, I had three of them and all had lower centers of gravity than this bike with the last one being hotter than this bike. Don't get me wrong, I like the R3T but it is not the best handling bike I have ever had.

Yeah, the last Valkyrie I had was with cobras, rejectted carbs, trigger wheel, and better breather, it would keep up with the bike I have now and was probably a little quicker in the 1/4.
We know you can make 170 HP with a R3T by adding a pipe and a retune so then it becomes a muscle bike and a lot more fun to ride and great for surprising unsuspecting victims on all sorts of bikes

apples and oranges, you know it and we know it
You know just changing the tires to a different size transforms the Rocket its a lot more nimble and responsive and that combined with a modded engine and you have one hell of an exciting beast thats a great cruiser and more than a match for the even the fastest sport bikes

I never said CG, or engine cg was factor número uno. Just said it plays a role along with front end geometry, suspension, tires, frame rigidity, actual bike weight and so on.

However, Amigo,
In response to my comment, "1olbull said:The CG on a motor has little to do with the handling."
You DID state: "This couldn't be more inaccurate. The lower the cg the easier it is to "flick" a bike, or transition from a left curves to a right curve for example." :p:D:whitstling:

in my opinion having alower cg only makes the bike come out of the corner easier...it can also make it harder to put the bike into the corner.the correct balance of weight,cg and geometry, along with correct HP.and torque, along with a plethora of other things, is what is required to make a MC handle well.....that and skills

CG make for a great handling bike, HCG makes for a bike that had to be handled.

ive riden the cheiftain and loved it...i like the look of the engine...not so much the front fender though...

the 111 inch mill is much better than the HD.. it will eat HD up,even the CVO 110inch stuff

it also handles WAY better than an HD of the same class...not really a fast bike, not really a slow bike either..but a nice bike none the less....IMO
Not slow, not fast; I recon it's "half assed."

I have the pipe and a good intake. My ECU reached Carpenter today. I'm hoping the reflash can get me close to that 170/170 mark.

The folks I talk to that brag harley either don't ride or couldn't hold a 2 minute conversation about bikes. Always the same sentence "they're American", if the person seems reasonable i'll explain they're assembled in milwaukee but like all manufactuers many parts are outsourced and that surprises everyone. got to hand it to Harley marketing.

Guys------ They are what they are eh ?? like most bikes, loved by some, detested by others,--To me it would be a brill' poser, or tourer, in a slow mo' kinda way, but for performance 'Poo'----If I got it fer Christmas, I wouldn't complain,----but buy it my self?????? Nahh..

Rather that , than a H.D. tho':whitstling:
