Gonna stop for fuel within 40 miles. Got 100 on this tank already.

When you get up Kansas City way beware of the orange cones and POTHOLES. We grow them big and deep up here. The good thing weed will be no problem in Kansas City city limits but not anywhere else. If you need any parts ect. Engle motors is full service Triumph dealership. Good luck and today the 29th it's 60° today and will be around 50° tonight. Unusually warm.

Made it to waldron.
Got 40mpg cuz of a lot of slow little towns.
I did very much enjoy the ride.
Going through Arkansas is like going through the Foothills in Georgia.
Still warm enough out that long johns warm ups and blue jeans or good enough still.

well, the time has come, mardi gras was fun. now it's time to head to the north for a 'spiritual rescue' of a friend.
gonna leave lafayette LA in the morning about 9am. Hopefully I'll be in casper WY 30 hours later.
got a new back tire, new oil change, some new shoes and warm clothes. ready as I'll ever be I suppose.
gonna bring some basic hand tools, enough to take off and open up the tank just in case something in there goes bad. such as a loose wire or whatever.

I'll try to update along my trip at least 6 times. maybe every couple of gas stops.

I'll be warm all day saturday, but when night falls near kansas city or thereabouts I'll be getting cold for the next 18 hours.

Once you do a long trip you will be hooked and it gets easier

Almost in Fayetteville Arkansas was getting cold cuz the sun went down and hungry so pull over for gas and Sonic and put some more clothes on.

it's been 10 hours and 500 miles so it looks like I'll be on schedule for about a 30-hour ride.

we'll see how much the cold slows me down

Once you do a long trip you will be hooked and it gets easier

that's why my family and friends don't understand that even though I will suffer some it'll be okay.

I think my hands will get real cold
