front brake

I totally agree with you unfortunately somehow this strange habit of braking with the rear wheel is prevalent and since most riders just jump on thinking they do not need any instruction they figure all is all right, beside they all have heard that if you brake strongly with the front you will fly over the handlebar so better not use it..

we can only hope for a sign of magnanimity from the power in the sky whoever is up there and hope she or he takes into consideration the lack of common sense and keep the road free of sudden obstacles from all those nincompoops.

at least you and me know better

They used to be ****

My first Triumphs on the roads in the early 80s were mid 60s models and the front brakes were ****. I ran up many a persons arse. Even the first Harley I aquired for a while a 77 Californian chopper, the first time I applied the brakes it went straight through the T intersection. hence I became a very rear brake person. Since having decent front brakes I have learned to use and love them. Many a time I have the back bunny hopping and squeezing the front saying holy **** come on baby ease up. Control is a wonderfull thing. cheers scratchyDave

These things have front brakes? I thought that thing was a make the bike roll over button. Honestly another great link that led me to many more great links thanks for the heads up!

I hear you I had a long time ago a bike with the old brake shoe system past 30 mph the brakes were just as useful as tits on a nun glad we have come a long way since

Finally changed my first set of front brake pads after doing 55,000 kilometers . I inspected the old pads ,yes they were well worn but not worn out.
