FINDING IT A BIT STRANGE

I like motorcycles. If I was dirt poor and couldn't afford what I'm riding now (R3T) I would find an old bike that ran and do everything I could make it fit. I guess that's what I do on whatever I ride. I started carving on the stock seat a few days ago and already I am finding improvement. I cut the pad back as far as the curve in the seat allows and have found my feet are where I want them on the boards. I am lower so my arms are a bit higher and more comfortable. Instead of new bars I'm thinking 2" risers will fit the bill nicely. **** I'm off topic.
I liked the Harley but it left me wanting more. The rocket has temporarily sated that lust and I know it's a platform I can build on if I want more.

I did not start this thread to bash Harley's. I do find it strange that people brag about how great the bikes rides. Compared to other touring motorcycles and the options offered by other brands it just amazes me that some people would still buy one. Maybe their choice is motivated by more than their claims of being such a great touring bike. Either way it is their call. The Rocket X is by far the most comfortable bike I have ever owned. A lot of people do not like the handle bars or the location of the foot pegs, fits me like a hand in glove. Suspension is OK but can be improved with minor investments. Overall ONE HELL OF A RIDE;);););)

Isn't this beautiful? And that handsome looking guy!!

Amigo,
Nice MOTOBAGO!
Only Cowboys & Queers wear chaps!  :inlove

I really enjoyed my Goldwing’s but to me there kind of like a Glock pistol. Very well engineered, extremely reliable, not much soul and not much to look at.
That’s why I’m going to give the Rocket a third chance.

Just saying.
My Glocks are not for looks or to be soulful . . .

I've always felt they made the ideal car/truck gun. They can be left for months on end and still be counted on to function and in the unlikely event they are stolen, they are easily replaceable.
