Fastest quarter mile 2.5L rocket

I went to dragstrip again yesterday, I couldnt make past 10.4s. I think I must strap front shocks and make rear shocks tight as much as possible.

I removed mirrors before doing runs,
I reduced rear tire gradually to finally 25psi
i reduced the weight below the seat


I was doing constantly 10.5, 10.6 and so on, best was 10.45, check the photos

Where can I get the straps and which ones are the best, how to put on rocket?
How do I setup rear shock so that it becomes harder?

Looks like first pass was the best, all were fairly close, try some way to cool temps. down between rounds, (engine and gas). In tune ecu, can you lower temp. when fan comes on, on new rockets? Good advice, get as tight and low as possible. Might try at home to make bike stand up solid and practice several positions to get comfortable, if not comfortable you will never improve. As far as rear shock, wonder if being tight is best way to go, would think transfer would be better. Keep working and improving is only way to get there. Good luck.

At the Milan dragstrip there is always 40-50min wait until next run so i think the bike gets cooled down enough between runs?

I read through and your first posted run with a 127 mph top speed is surprisingly low for that low time. I look down the chart of naked/sport bikes {from memory right now) and top speeds for 10 sec bikes are in the mid 130's and even higher. The R3 just doesn't accelerate on the top end like the other bikes do and thats why we see in those comparisons the r3 can get off the line faster but the Diavel or vmax launch past it once they hit their power. I find it really cool that you're doing, but I blame the tool before the operator in this scenario. My SDR can smoke most bikes off the line but once that bike [s1000rr, streetfighter, etc] hits its power it's gone and no matter how skinny and small I get it'll happen every time.

At this point, I think he is trying to get into the 9's.
 
10 + years ago I did 10.0 at 132 on the early R3 with my supercharger on it running 240 hp at the rev limit. I wasn't that impressed with the time but I reckoned the weight had a lot to do with it. I have now do 10.0/152 on my 2.5 with our supercharger on it. With this best time starting in 3rd gear getting a 1.60 60'. starting in a lower gear just span the rear tyre, The drag stip wasn't race prep'd so grip was well below par. I think there's an 8 in the bike with the right conditions. But there is a lot more to drag racing then people realise. I have run on airfield tracks for 30 years and if the track isn't top notch good times are impossible.

Looked like a pretty good run, 10.46, don't see you cutting more than 2 max.3 tenths which still keeps you short of your goal. More power, rpm, something needs to be added to the mix. I assume you've had a better tune and dyno work performed. The old adage rings true, doesn't matter how good you are, or what you can do, it takes money to compete.
 
Sunny, a person will need to leave MUCH harder to get even close to your goal. Be sure that the Penner tune is saved and identified in a way that it can easily revert back to it for street riding. Then try editing the TBW in first gear only, so that the throttle butterflies are restricted to around 60 to 70% of full opening. This will allow to leave alot harder with less of a chance of having to chop the throttle due to to a big wheelie. If not going through 1st gear with front wheel around 2 to 3 inches in the air then there is alot of forward Gs left on the table. As I mentioned before , focus should be on getting 60 foot times down to mid 1.5s in order to have any chance of running 9.99 There's not much point in completing the run and putting all that wear and tear on the bike until a solid 2 tenths can be knocked off of 60 foot time. Mid to high 1.7 sixty foot time are just not gonna cut it trying to get to 9.99 in the quarter. Im assuming that you are running a quick shifter. I myself do not have one and not familiar with its adjustability. If there are provisions for adjusting the kill time you might try shortening the kill to its absolute minimum. This will allow for a more uninterrupted power delivery particularly in the lower gear shifts. Oh and BTW.... at this point it's probably worthy of mention that you are entering a range of performance where the risks are becoming greater to your bike, your personal well being, and the safety of your competitors. I offer this advice only as what I personally would do in a similar situation, not as encouragement for you to do the same!!!

What gear are you crossing the line in, what's the rpm?
