A visual did not require it all valve guides, valves and head are new looks like replaced the oil through the spark plug holes instead of the usall place

Not enough compression in these engines for blow by even without rings

On a serious note...empathy....you are lucky to have found the issue before too much damage was done! My v6 diesel has just spun a big end bearing after identical symptoms to your bike..$11/12k rebuild

A melancholy moment for sure, they overlooked this on original rebuild hi when it had thrown a valve on cylinder 1 they replaced the piston and head and had low oil pressure on start up they replaced the oil pumps and it still had the same problem, I open it up and walla, I was hoping they'd missed an o ring BUT its like they forgot to put the piston rings on..... I will be replacing the big end shells sleeves and new rings that should seal the deal

Since it's found in this condition, I wouldn't take anything for granted. Give all parts and systems a through check. No telling what else could be screwed up.
