if its locked up there is a high chance that its an issue with the gears being busted, in that case its NOT moving on the rear wheel so maybe a Harbor Freight dolly with big wheels?
if the gears are find and its the clutch, just take some tools and remove the clutch springs
make sure you check that the engine does not have the studs snapped off from a crash.
Whats so special about this rocket you want to drive 8 hours to get it? good parts? engine? frame?

Yes mainly parts, but things might be better than im assuming. It's a long story but was going to get bike transport & that hasn't worked out. The bike is complete with some damage, but have all main parts to fix. The people where it's at don't know nothing about bikes. There son n law died eventually as a result of the crash.
Cost me $700 usd.

the headlights alone parted out will pay for your purchase... great find. If its on dirt, just drag it out with a winch, harbor fright has a hand winch for $27
Its going to be fun getting it out but im sure you can do it... worth it! the engine alone is 3 grand

Hey guys, Picking up a crashed rocket tomorrow (8hr drive) & I suspect it could be locked in gear.
If I take wheel, shock & diff off, can I pull drive shaft out through the swingarm?? so I can make it mobile for moving...
Cheers 🚀
I've seen little platforms with four castors on each corner for putting under each wheel of a car/caravan to move the car/caravan into tight places in garages. Why not just buy two of them, lift the front and rear wheels on to push it to the trailer. Or maybe some other type of trolley you can lay the bike onto it side on? You'll have fun getting it up on a trailer though

I have a ramp & borrowed a pully winch just in case 👍

eh... even if 4th gear and the 2nd gear fork is trashed as long as the engine turns over and has compression its still worth the deal and time
Bring a compression tester and some tools to lift the tank up, pull a plug on each cylinder, make sure it has "oil" in the tank and bring a battery so you can make sure it cranks and has compression, might have to bypass the ignition and by the looks of it also the clutch switch so that means pulling the headlight! possibly., also bring a 5 pin relay and 3 quarts of t6 rotella oil and a gallon of gas with you and be ready to have to do an oil change. If you can get it started or it has compression but a busted trans, no big deal but if the engine has LOW compression and a good trans.. might want to offer the seller $200 or walk from the deal unless you know you can part it all out to cover the deal or fix it...

I have already paid for it so it's go & pickup. I'll do all the sorting when I get it back home. If it's a runner all good otherwise spare parts for my other 3 👍
I have lots of Spares already including new sleeves, pistons & rings, full tins etc etc

It's been sitting for 3.5 years, not sure if clutch will free up & if gearbox is locked in gear that wouldn't work either.
It would be faster to pull the clutch cover and take the clutch bolts loose on the clutch hub and pry the plates apart than pulling the swingarm off. Just my thoughts.
