Decosse's keyless ignition

at my last step but really couldn't figure out if this is the correct place that I should find the clutch wire. Follow the wire from the handle bar and it end up going into the head lights before coming out in a bunch of threes. Hope someone is online now.

The wire is the same color at that connector as it is at the switch. I peeled back the covering at the switch to see the color, then found it at the connector and it worked perfectly.

Sorry I can recall the color at the moment.

Sorry if I'm being extra cautious. You cut slightly at the clutch itself on the handle bar to expose the protective layer to check the colour? OK I'm going to attempt to make a small slit not. Thanks!

Here goes nothing... Hope water won't seep in next time... Will probably put some electric tape later.

Follow the clutch and finally decide to remove the headlights... The harness is inside the headlight... Darn the posi wire is too short too reach here. It's a black yellow wire.

Don't make the move till the Decosse checks in but I'm pretty sure the wire is orange and is called out in the directions

Aye, just for the future readers, no need to cut, you can carefully expose the wires at the clutch switch itself once you unplug it from the lever.

I hope you did not cut the wire John (but I think you meant slit the sleeving)

Sorry, I changed the harness config in the latest configurations and now connect the orange wire at the front (it used to connect at the ECU behind right side panel)
On the Roadsters and Classics/Stds, these connectors are exposed under the tank, behind the steering head.

I had not realized the switch connectors were in the headlight on the Touring model - apologies for that
So - yes, you need to connect to the Black/Orange *wire on the main harness side of the connector plug -
*Please note - the wire is BLACK/ORANGE - MY wire is orange

Now - the orange wire may not be long enough* to reach inside the headlight - so - if you are able to find it inside a harness on the steering head side, you can try that (there is no other intermediate connector - it goes from that one that connects inside the headline in continuous run to the ECU) - however it may be easier to just extend the orange wire (if necessary) and run it into the headlight to connect it there. On future Touring Kits I will make the Orange Wire considerably longer. so it can run all the way into the headlight.

*Apologies for the miscue - not having access to a Touring model. On any future Touring models I will be sure to make the Orange Wire long enough to go all way into the headlight shell and make the appropriate instruction in the Installation Guide for that model.

(edit - I posted an image earlier - that was not the correct wire I ID'd - it should be in this corrected image I believe)

Hey Ken, no worries... Only just saw your reply.

Decided to take the matters into my own hand and tap at a place where I'm certain it's the clutch wire as shown in the pic attached. After hours of searching for the wire finally got it to work! Totally loving the keyless way. If not for this wire, all could have been done within half an hour tops. Thanks for all the help guys. This forum is just like a second home to all rocket pilots. Cheers!
