DARK SIDE WANA BE

I sure haven't read more that a couple of the 17 pages spent here. From what I see its a bunch of I'm right and you're stupid. Why in the world this argument continues is beyond me. What is there left to say that hasn't been said over and over? But, if you guys find it entertaining, have at it.

for the 10 millionth time, post one accident caused by a car tire, the blah blah blah is not credible and if you dont post one all your credibility about the issue will be as invalid as your comments about 100$ mc tires, you beating everybody with your loaned motorcycle, you been a drag racer you riden every bike ever made etc etc etc:whitstling::whitstling:
WELL it went right over your head as usual but thats what I would expect from you BLAH BLAH BLAH ETC .ETC LOL

Sometimes the conversation isn't as entertaining as just pushing known buttons to watch reactions.

Quoted directly from post #155;

"I had dinner with Bridgestone's Chief Motorcycle Tire Engineer In Nashville about 10 years ago. We were discussing the student Formula Car race series sponsored by SAE. When he found out that I was a lifelong motorcyclist, he wanted to pick my brain on what motivates people to think that a car tire is a suitable tire for a bike. I told him that it looked to me like cheapness first, lack of understanding of any physics or materials science second, and pigheadedness third."

If you were using that well written post to support Darksiding, breeze, then you neither understand it's premises, nor it's conclusions, underscored above.:confused:

Well I have not sat around eating dinner with very many top executives of major corporations but I do spend a lot of time riding the Rocket X. The car tire works for me and am very happy with it. I guess this makes me some kind of moron in some people's eyes but really do not care one way or the other. When you start to insult a person over his own personal preference it is going a bit too far. One thing to talk about the pros and cons it is another to refer to a person as if he or she is less intelligent just because they do not agree or would like to see some hard facts on accidents cause by using a car tire. So far all I have seen is the possibility but not much on hard facts that are fully documented.

ITS not opinion we are talking wheel and tire design here its true the CT does not fit the MOTORCYCLE saftey rim correctly and thats the facts so carry on telling fairy tales it wont change the facts BUT if you insist on using a CT you could have a custom wheel made to match the CAR TIRE design that would make it safer and would make sense for long term use . I understand its illegal to use a Car Tire on a motorcycle in the UK .

I have only had one blow out on a bike. The Harley fatboy lost a back tire on the highway going about 65 mph. The wife was on the back at the time. The bike became squirrely very quickly and before I could come to a complete stop the tire had popped off the rim. Did not dump the bike but so much for safety rims.

YES SONNY and that was with a safety rim imagine if you didnt have one you could have lost control and gone down at highway speed and thats not a good ending
